What criteria do you use when selecting a product?
It was cheap, my favorite celebrity uses it, a friend recommended it, a store clerk recommended it, and it just seemed good.
I think there are various reasons for this.
None of this is wrong and it's a valid reason.
If there is demand, they will be made more and more.
These days, things are plentiful and easy to get.
In a capitalist society, products that are in demand are produced in large quantities, and in order to reduce costs, they are produced without regard for the burden on the environment.
If there is demand, production will not stop.
Disposable products and fast fashion are very convenient because they can be purchased cheaply, but is that really all we need?
In fact, the products you think are a good deal may actually be a loss for you in a different sense.
In order to reduce costs even if only slightly, producers often pay low wages to workers behind the scenes, do not manage production properly, and tend to place more importance on costs than on the burden on the environment.
From the consumer's perspective, the food and skin care products you buy thinking they are a good deal may actually contain a lot of pesticides and chemicals in order to be mass-produced, and you may be consuming things that are bad for your body or suffering from unexpected skin problems.
Try choosing something based on being kind to yourself.
That said, it does cost money, and even if you understand this, it can be difficult to choose based on "kindness."
So, when it comes to the various products you pick up every day, why not choose them based on how kind they are to you ?
Vegetables grown with as little pesticides as possible, cosmetics without chemicals, and clothing that is gentle on the skin,
Choosing products that are kind to you allows you to look after yourself and live a healthy life. At the same time, many of these products are also environmentally friendly.
"Kindness" comes back
I believe kindness will come back.
If you are kind to yourself, your heart will be filled,
If you are kind to someone, someone else will be kind to you.
If kindness were the standard, we would see the creation of many products that are also environmentally friendly.
